Tracy Matthews

Creativitity, talent and a love of fashion and jewellery design became an inspiration to Tracy Matthews at a young age. By experimenting early on, combining colour with metal, Matthews planted the seed for her future collections. Tracy Matthews Designs was born in1999 when Matthews launched her first collection of jewellery for women. Although her designs continue to evolve, there is a common collage of elements in each line, including spirituality, a love of colour, nature, travel and vintage jewellery. Her collection of delicate, handmade jewellery has a personal, timeless quality. Over the years, Matthews has developed several signature collections. Her collection of fashion jewellery has evolved since its inception and combines sterling silver with 18 carat rose and yellow gold vermeil paired with colourful gemstones amidst nature inspired and handcrafted shapes. In a natural evolution, Matthews launched her first men's jewellery line in 2005 under the name TMD men. An uncharted territory for most, Matthews had a desire to bring a unique aesthetic to men's jewellery. Her current collections are comprised of a series of eclectic designs each of which was inspired by things archived or discovered in an archaelogocal dig.
